All paper handling is done within our paper submission system. The submission system will automatically close at the following deadlines:
First submission should be made anonymous and the final submission should be complete, see templates and example papers:
For a smooth paper submission process, follow these steps:
Each paper submitted to ICED'09 has been classified into one of three categories: Accepted, Major Revision Required and Rejected. The Program Committee made decisions based on the results of the reviews and comments from the reviewers. The following defines each category:
When preparing your final version of papers, authors are expected to take into account the review results and comments from the reviewers.
Where the Program Committee has elected to put a paper into the 'Major Revision Required' category, the final decision on the paper is pending a further review after the submission of a revised version. The paper has NOT yet been accepted for presentation at the conference. Authors are expected to rework papers following the reviewers’ comments and resubmit manuscripts for reconsideration.
Papers in this category should be resubmitted through the conference management system by May 1st. This will allow the Program Committee to complete the additional review and inform authors of the outcome prior to the June 1 deadline for receiving the early-bird discount on the Conference registration fee. Please note that at least one of each paper’s authors must register for the conference by June 1 to ensure the inclusion of accepted papers in the conference program and proceedings.
Please also note that papers in this category have been tentatively scheduled for presentation at the Conference. This does not guarantee acceptance after resubmission but rather that we have reserved appropriate sessions should papers be accepted in the second review round.
The ICED Program Committee has elected not to accept these papers for presentation at ICED’09. The Committee’s decision is based on recommendations from the reviewing members of the ICED Scientific Committee. Authors may find feedback from the Scientific Committee members in the conference management system. We hope that they will find the comments helpful, and that they will consider submitting to the International Conference on Engineering Design in the future.
