On-Campus Housing

on-campus
In 1897, Jane Stanford, co-founder of the University, declared that

"It is desirable that...students should generally reside upon the grounds of the University."

Since that time, Stanford has developed a strong residential character, and University residences have played an important role in the lives and education of generations of Stanford students.

Today, over 10,000 students live in some 80 residences on the Stanford campus. Approximately 93 percent of undergraduates and 52 percent of matriculated graduate students at the home campus live in University housing.

Additional information and representative photos can be found on the On-Campus Housing page. Restrooms and shower facilities are shared and in-building.

The ICED'09 organizers invite you to stay in on-campus housing for the of the conference. Rooms are available August 21 through August 31. Rates are competitive, residences are within walking distance of all conference venues, and rooms can be booked directly during conference registration.

On-campus housing for ICED'09 is no longer available.
